PIA is no stranger to unhappy customers or controversy.
And in recent news, another video has been making rounds on the internet, and surprise surprise PIA is embroiled in another mess.
In a video, passengers of PK-750 from Paris to Islamabad are seen distraught, fighting with the onboard crew after basically being held hostage on the aircraft.
National flag carrier PIA switched off air conditioning and closed the doors for about two hours after all the passengers were on-boarded including infants struggling for fresh air to survive. The video is gaining more traction on social media now, but it was recorded almost a week ago on a flight which was scheduled on the 3rd of August, 2018.
The issue was that not only had the flight been delayed but the air conditioning system on the flight had been turned off. Because of this not only was everyone sweaty but little children on board apparently suffered a lot because of the entire ordeal.
But of course, that was not possible for them to do for technical and safety reasons. Because of no air conditioning, the conditions in the plane became almost suffocating since they had been waiting without the air conditioning for more the 2.5 hours.
Since going viral, the airline issued a statement on the video.

The mother in the video, Zoya Fayyaz, even made a comment on the video and addressed everyone criticizing her.
However, most people were sympathizing with her and other passengers who had to put up with such terrible conditions for several hours without any idea of when the ordeal would be over.
In the video, the crew member is having a hard time controlling the crowd and no one seems to be buying his explanation.
He can be seen asking the crowd to calm down and explaining that the fault is not at PIA’s end but at the end of the Paris airport authorities which have to provide them with a flight plan.
He also tries to explain why the air conditioning has been turned off. But people do not seem to believe his explanation which is why he ends up saying he takes responsibility for the delay and difficulties and that the crowd could yell at him all they want and even hit him if they please. But people tell him they just want an explanation.
However, the explanation PIA’s PR representative gave later according to Pakistan Today, only stated that an investigation was underway.
