A woman from an old muhalla in the suburbs of town who endlessly tries to provide her daughter with the best quality of life, by ensuring she gets a good education and establishes a career. She adopts a whole different facade in Sanam, as she tries to act ‘modern’, while letting her roots shine through.

6. When she loved her daughter despite her not-so-good actions in Humsafar
While a lot of us thought of her role as the antagonist, on delving further into her character it turns out that she had no negative part to play in Farida Auntie’s evil schemes to get rid of Khirad. She ended up losing a lot more than any character in the series, and she made us feel every bit of it.

11. And finally with her ~STELLAR~ performance in Dil Banjaara
I have not yet come across anyone who has not been at a loss for words at the incredible performance Hina Bayat has put up in the ongoing series Dil Banjaara. She plays a mentally challenged woman, facing age regression, a mother, a wife, and a daughter in law. Her lovable character outshines everyone else on screen, and there is not a single second where she lets her guard down or loses character, and there is not a single scene where you don’t fall more in love with her.
