My parenting mantra these days: Lots of hugs and cuddles. Physical acts of affection (for kids who enjoy these) do wonders for emotional bonding and also help calm kids down. I randomly hug, kiss, cuddle mine, often when he's not in the best mood, and it immediately helps both of us feel better. . Verbal affection. Ever told your kid at the most unexpected moment how much you love them? Like running to them in the middle of a chore saying 'I love you I love you I love'? Mine usually blushes! . Silliness never stops working. Funny faces, amusing sounds and silly laughs with tickles can instantly diffuse many potentially catastrophic meltdowns. . But most importantly, deep breaths. Lots of them. In and out. In and out. In and out. There you go 🙂 . But the real caption for this picture is: 'When you think your kid has come to cuddle but he demonstrates how sharp his teeth are.' #Aleyans3rdYear
