A Heatwave Has Hit Karachi And The Internet Is Blazing In Reactions

By Masooma Haider | 22 May, 2018

Attribute it to global warming or a general change in weather patterns throughout the world, the recent heatwave in Karachi has brought forth insane reactions from people all over the city. From suggesting practical ways to deal with the garmi to pleading for a downpour, the uproar has surely caused the internet’s temperature to shoot up a few degrees.

I mean come on, this is pretty scary, isn’t it?

You’ve probably been confusing sweat with water for the past couple of days.

The heatwave is expected to continue till Thursday, particularly because of the dryness in the air. We hope everyone can stay safe from the sweltering weather in the days to come.

Uh oh, the irony of the situation…

Now it really can’t be that bad, can it?

Damn, we can feel the fire.

This citizen took it in another direction altogether. Karachiites, what do you say?

Mhmm we’re hot for sure!

The heat gets tough with Ramazan, and everyone must drink LOTS of paani to stay hydrated throughout the day.

In these changing environmental conditions, let’s promise ourselves to give some extra priority to taking care of nature and enhancing it.

Yesss girl, you said it!

The heat in Karachi is reminding some people of David Beckham’s steamy look from the Royal Wedding!

What do you guys think?

Air-conditioning is such a blessing, but our hearts go out to all those who have to suffer the blazing heat outdoors. Let’s make a silent prayer for their safety.

Lord, Oh lord.

Well, this does seem very true right now! Lekin sooraj ne zyada acha welcome nahi kia…

I mean who really needs stoves when you can roast your food outside?

The heatwave may be driving us crazy already, but let’s try and stay hydrated and stay indoors through it. In the long run, PLEASE, LET’S PLEASE plant some trees!

Stay safe everyone!
