Here’s What Hania Aamir Has To Say About THAT Horrible Snapchat Video

By Iman Zia | 9 Nov, 2017

Hania Aamir has been wound up in quite the controversy. The actress earlier posted a video on social media platform Snapchat whereby she is seen to be making a fellow passenger rather uncomfortable. The video gathered conversation on Twitter, with many calling out the actress for her display of poor behavior. The tweet quickly went viral and swiftly formed the premise of a debate around harassment, sexism and an underlying class conflict in Pakistani society.

The Snapchat video sparked an online debate, calling out Hania Aamir for making a passenger feel rather unsettled

The snap has Hania telling fans that a man behind her “is struggling to get out of” her “photo.” The actress evidently made the passenger very uncomfortable, however, did not hesitate to proliferate his feelings by ushering him with “come on dude” to look towards her camera. This was after she said that she would keep the camera with him in focus until he looked towards her.

The actress has now released a statement, saying she didn’t intend to harass anyone

Hania spoke to ‘Express Tribune‘ and stated that she would like to “apologize to everyone who got offended” by the video. She referred to a few tweets that brimmed the online debate, whereby she was called out on abusing ‘star’ power to get away with incidents such as the one on the plane. She went on to indirectly admit her fault on the matter and expressed an apologetic statement.

What are your thoughts on Hania’s statement?
