On Mother’s Day on Sunday, every celebrity took to social media to pour out heartfelt messages to their mothers, and while each and every post was incredibly beautiful, Hania’s late night breakdown felt all too relatable. The actress addressed all the times we might have mistreated our mothers in a lengthy video, keying in on particular instances that made every viewer (including myself) feel incredibly guilty as it almost hit us all like an epiphany.
You’ll need a tissue box for this just FYI
Hania began by apologizing on not only her behalf but on the behalf of “all the sons and daughters” who failed to be there when “you” (referring to a singular entity of all our mothers combined) “needed us the most”
She went on to apologize for all the “sleepless nights” while all of us were out late night with our friends (guilty as charged tbh), because ‘hum ne toh party karni hi hai’ without realizing that our mothers cannot sleep until they see us safely back home.
The actress righteously continued to confess to the number of times we never returned our mothers’ calls (honestly feeling so felonious right now) and would just dismiss the endless worried calls with “we’ll call you right back”
She also keyed in on how we might have all corrected our mother’s grammar in front of others, only because we ourselves felt embarrassed when we often forget that they are the ones who taught us our first words.
She “apologize[d] for all the doors that we’ve slammed,” not because they did anything wrong, but that we were taking our anger out on them – we might have had a fight with our boyfriend, girlfriend or friend, and we needed someone to vent on
I’m sure we’ve all been part of a situation where we’ve had personal issues to deal with, and have taken our anger out on our mothers, yet, despite it all, our mothers always forgive us, no matter how cruel we might have been.
Hania stated how our mothers have sacrificed an incredible amount for us, from their careers to their passion and goals so that they “could stay home for us”
For all the times we did not give our mothers importance, for all the times we “took your love for granted,” and for all the times we never gave them time, Hania beautifully summed it up. “Mother’s are probably the only people who love you so unconditionally, so cherish all the moments you have with her.”
The all too relatable video hit home for many
