Don’t you just want to finally feel like a real grown up and be your age?

Given the prevalent laziness plaguing us all most of our lives are spent looking for short-cuts. Also, jugaar lagana has been a national pastime. And then, as the weekend comes closer, you’ll spend most of your time sleeping or slacking off with your TV shows instead of getting your jugaars in order.

So, here’s a list of some quick DIY hacks to make your life easier and start being the grown up you should really be, over this weekend:

1. Favorite flip flops too slippery? Here’s how to fix them

If your favorite flip flops are too slippery and you have consequently slipped way too many times in the washroom or on any wet floor, just put some glue underneath them in uniform patterns and there you go. The glue when dried will keep your shoes from being too slippery.

2. Here’s how you can make sure your rings that are too big for your fingers can fit you perfectly

You can do the same for your favorite rings that are too large for your tiny, slender fingers. Take a small piece of paper, pour some glue on it, immerse your ring in it, pull it out when it has completely dried. Snip away the extra glue and there you go, your ring is all set to adorn your finger without falling off.

3. And if you want to find pants that fit your waist but don’t want to go to the changing room, here’s what to do:

Imagine you are in a shop looking for some causal pants. You have selected one for yourself but you don’t know your waist size and are now completely lost, worry not. Just wrap it around your neck and see if it fits. If it does, you are good to go.

4. For chapped lips during winters here’s how you can easily freshen them up:

If your lips are too chapped to apply any lip color on them, apply some toothpaste for 10 secs. After removing the tooth-paste, apply some Argan oil to your lips (or whatever oil you have been using) and there you go.

5. This is an easy way to line up all your scarves or ties where you can find them

If you have run out of space in your closet and are unable to hang any more hangers, take some shower curtain rings, hang them on a single hanger and tada.

6. Looking to buy a beautiful vase and a lamp for your table?

Just get a large empty jam or achaar jar, put in some fairy lights and there you go. You can get the fairy lights from any electric-ware shop almost anywhere in Pakistan for about Rs. 100.

7. Is you laptop keyboard super dirty and you are too lazy to clean it using a cloth?

Just take some sticky notes, run them between your keys, they will collect all the dust particles.

8. Looking to charge your phone faster because you have to go on a long trip but don’t have a lot of time?

Just put it on air-plane mode and see the magic unfold.

9. Get your kachray wali tokri in order because, your trash could be someone’s treasure, right?

Cover your dust-bins with large ziploc bags or any plastic bags for that matter. When it’s full, just take out the bag and throw it away. You won’t have to clean your dust-bin every time. Also, less hassle.

10. Want to make sure every last bit of your toothpaste is used?

This one is super desi. Use a binder clip from your stationary supplies to prevent even a drop of your tooth-paste from going to waste.
