Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are back together again for what feels like the millionth time, and the model won’t be taking anyone hating on their relationship too lightly.
The model responded to an account ‘@exposingfakeeasszigiii’ that was solely dedicated to posting frivolous confessions about her and Zayn
The account, which is now private posted various confessions, one of which Gigi felt warranted a response. The account claimed that ‘Zayn is not going to follow Gigi or ever going [to] post her picture on his Instagram again,’ before adding a caption for followers to comment with an ‘agree’ or ‘disagree.’ Zayn unfollowed Gigi earlier in the year after they broke up.
The model responded to the confession, asking the account to stop tagging her and stop ‘trying to dissect a relationship between two people that you don’t even know and that you don’t see 99% of…’
She stated that Zayn is very inactive on social media, and doesn’t need him to follow her, because her eyes are already tattooed on his chest. Her relationship with the musician has garnered a lot of negative press, and the model had had enough with all of it, pressing those who dwell in hate to ‘find something else that inspires [them].’
After a user asked Gigi why she had chosen to publically comment under the account’s post instead of direct messaging them, she responded “I see your point that it should have been a direct message, and I agree – just didn’t think of it
She went on to say how sick and tired she was of all the incessant scrutiny. ‘This is all just very frustrating and I’m only human. I’ve seen the shit on this account for just as long as u…’ She apologized in her response too, insinuating she and Zayn are on the ‘same team,’ and was sorry if she came across as immature.
Gigi raises a fair argument. Celebrities are human too, and incessant trolling and digging into their personal lives at the cost of their happiness is both cruel and unfair. The internet can leave one feeling incredibly alienated, and we should all be more compassionate and courteous to one another on it.
