Flirting with someone of the opposite gender can be pretty intimidating. Whether you’ve had a ton of girlfriends or been on tons and tons of dates, you can never be sure of what works and what doesn’t when it comes to trying to talk to a girl.

Well gentlemen, us women are here to tell you that girls are not as complicated as you think and understanding them is actually pretty easy. So instead of over thinking everything, here is a step by step guide of how to successfully flirt with a girl in Pakistan.

1. Be sincere and be genuine, save the one liners for the movies

Just be normallllllllllllll. Show interest in her! Be kind, be polite and just be yourself. Girls can see through a lot more than you think. If you’re interested in her, that’s all that matters. Don’t try too hard.

2. No cliched/cheap pickup lines please

Unless you’re joking around and trying to be funny, do not try and lead with a cheap or cliched pickup line. This will immediately put her off and show your complete lack of originality. When in doubt, keep it simple!

3. Ask about stuff she’s genuinely interested in

If you’re going over to talk to a girl and start a conversation, have a conversation. There is nothing worse than a guy who can only talk about himself. Showing interest in stuff she is actually interested in or passionate about will show her that you care. This doesn’t mean you can’t talk about things that interest you, in fact you should! – but balance bohot important hai.

4. Be funny

Okay this obviously isn’t necessary, but it definitely helps. Laughing is the best way to break the ice and it’ll liven up the interaction. Laughter is the quickest way to the heart. That and food, of course. If you can make a girl laugh and feed her, there is absolutely nothing better. Jaaaaackpotttt.

Again, this is not necessary- only do this if it comes naturally, otherwise choro, bohot bad scene ban sakta hai. 

5. Compliment her, without being weird

Compliment her on her smile, her laugh, intelligence and charm. Body parts are strictly forbidden. Always. Khabardaar. Respect only please okay thank you.

6. Be confident

There’s nothing better than a guy who is confident in himself. It shows that he’s sure of himself and sure of what he wants. If you’re shy, no worries, just be confident in the way you act towards her, she’s a girl, monster nai hai. 

7. Don’t be over confident

There is a huge difference between someone who is confident and over confident in himself.  Learn the difference. If you start shoving your car, job and achievements in her face, best believe she is going to walk away (or at least she should). It’s great to be proud of who you are, but there is a fine line between being proud and boasting, dehaan sai.

8. Make sure you are aware of your body language

Body language says a lot more than you think. The way you’re standing, whether or not you’re facing her, again, eyeeeee contact- yeh saaray cheezain matter kartii haiiiin.

9. Make. Eye. Contact.

Eye contact bohot zaroori hoti hai. Whether or not your’e flirting, eye contact is important when you’re talking to anyone. It’s annoying having a conversation with someone who won’t meet your sight. Agar aap nai meri taraf dekhna hii nai hai, tho aap meray sai baat kyun karay hai? Pls. I don’t understand.

10. Do it yourself/ not through a friend

This is super childish and super annoying and honestly, super weird. If you want to strike up a conversation, sending your friend to do it isn’t going to interest her, in fact it’ll probably put her off. A girl wants a man, not a boy. Again, big difference, samajhlo. 

11. Don’t be cheeky

Do not try to be extra smooth or suave, you will come off as sleazy and weird. Keep some good physical distance and don’t try and act extra pushy, I promise you will never hear from her again.

This may not seem like a flirting tip, but it definitely is something guys should keep in mind when talking to a girl, or anyone for that matter. The way you’re dressed and the way you carry yourself says a lot about the kind of person you are. Make sure to take care of yourself! Best kind of pyaar is self pyaar. Love you.

15. Better yet, don’t try to “flirt” at all

Some girls do not want to be flirted with. If she is not looking at you, not showing any interest or clearly does not want to go out with you, throwing your number at her is not the answer. Know when to walk away, for your benefit and hers. Pls.
