Fawad Chaudhry dragging Maulana Fazlur Rehman is next level weird
Fawad Chaudhry, our very own Minister of Information and Technology, has a knack of creating ripples in the politics with his bold criticism. He is unfiltered and unapologetic and sometimes we love him for that.
Fawad Chaudhry just dragged Maulana Fazlur Rehman and a notification allegedly issued by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam
So, Fawad Chaudhry shared a notification said to have been issued by the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, highlighting a very ”controversial” point in it.

For people who don’t know, the JUI planned to conduct a nationwide Azaadi March, to topple the government. The notification allegedly attributed to the JUI enclosed the instructions for the party members.
Now let’s come to the point number six, that Fawad Chaudhry specifically mentioned
The point state that the protestors cannot indulge in ”Lawatat’‘ without the permission of their leader. Otherwise, the party would debar them from the protest.
In case you were wondering what Lawatat is, it’s a relationship between two males that is strictly prohibited in Islam. Yes it’s weird why this notification would specifically mention Lawatat without the permission of a leader.
Naturally, Pakistanis had a lot to say about this notification

While others were just pissed off at this notification altogether
They collected money from their workers on the name of Islam and Khatam.e.Nabuat.

Subsequently, JUI declared that the notification is fake thereby countering the Fawad Chaudhry drag of Maulana Fazlur Rehman

Well, this is still not the end of the story.
Islamabad City Police issued a notification on top of the alleged notification by JUI
According to the notification addressed from the District Magistrate of Islamabad, any sort of homosexuality was strictly prohibited after they received multiple complaints from a political gathering.
Assuming these orders are authentic, was the JUI notification actually issued? It’s certainly weird to single out “Lawatat” and make a big fiasco of issuing notifications upon notifications for a sexual minority that is already suffering and oppressed in this country. Such ridiculous political stunts should refrain from dragging sexual and religious minorities because this leaves no one coming out better out of this.
