The actress, however, has been accused of having an affair with Aamir for quite some time now, with various Indian publications reporting that the two have been dating.
Fatima was interviewed by Indian publication ‘Bollywood Hungama’ and was asked about the rumors circulating about their alleged affair
She said “it’s very weird. I used to get disturbed.” She remembered how her mother would often see her on television about rumors and she had no response.
She was asked if it affects her relationship with Aamir, to which she responded that her “relationship is very strong with him.”
Initially, she felt the need to explain herself initially, but gradually she accepted that this is the cost of being a celebrity.
Fatima said “if someone accuses you of something, the first instinct is to come out and tell, ‘listen, why do you think it is like this?’
She said she now doesn’t feel the need to now explain herself; “I feel like no matter what you do, people will talk about you; logon ka kaam hai bolna, woh bolenge.”
