Sania Khan, a 27-year-old woman from Karachi celebrated her baby shower in the most creative and giving way possible.

She is eight months pregnant and went through 14 weeks of Hyperemesis Gravidarum – a rare condition in pregnancy that causes an extreme form of morning sickness that causes severe nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.

She told MangoBaaz, “When I was going through this condition, a lot of sacrifices were given. People from around the world were making special dua in their mosques for me and my baby, now that Alhamdullilah I’m stable, I want to be able to do something on my own to give back. My friends decided to throw me a dream baby shower however I please, and I thought to give to the world rather than receive anything.”
How absolutely inspiring

She had the most heartwarming idea for a baby shower. She decided to make two teams: Team Mommy and Team Daddy and within the teams, she held two events to give back to the world and help spread happiness and positivity.
“Team Daddy’s” event was on December 24th and was all about planting trees in Karachi. The couple formed a collection of 500 trees to be planted in Karachi. The trees included Neem, Gul mohar, Karachi badaam, Neglam, Amaltas, and Sukhchain. A local college took the responsibility of looking after the trees in the future.

The event was a huge success!

“Team Mommy’s” event was held last week and was a huge success. Since Sania is a pre-school teacher she said that nothing makes her happier than making a child smile. What she decided to do for her event was collect toys from her family and friends and along with a group of friends – go to an orphanage, give out toys to the children, and spread happiness in form of toys to underprivileged children.

They spend an entire day entertaining the children.

The children were very grateful.

Sania’s idea of celebrating her baby shower shows that when the world throw’s hardships at you, you can only learn from them and give back. Sania wanted people to be inspired to start planting trees and giving back to those who are less fortunate.

We wish the best for her baby girl! What a great way to give back to the community. What did you think about it?
