There are a number of things we all look forward to in Ramazan. Apart from iftaaris and sehris, there’s one big thing all of us can say make the second part of Eid, much easier to get through. Ummmm hellllooOooOo, Eid! It’s about getting together with our friends, family and loved ones and by loved ones, I obviously mean Eidi (jk, lol but not lol.)
When it comes to Eid shopping in Ramazan though, there are a number of things we can all relate to when getting ready for the big day:
1. Mustering enough energy to actually get up and go shopping
Okay so, it is still Ramazan, having the energy to get up from your short 6 hour naps can be hard! We completely get it.
2. Heading to all your favorite stores in hopes for sales and Eid goodies
There’s nothing like the excitement of finding a new outfit, new accessories and more than that – deals to get your favorites without completely ripping up your wallet. And with special Eid vouchers by Ideas, you can get instant eidi to spend on the cutest things perfect for the big day.
3. Getting cranky while shopping around
Okay so, while the need to go shopping is strong, hangriness is stronger. Nothing gets an appetite going like being on your feet and shopping around. Don’t worry, iftaari mai itnee dair nahi hai.
4. Running into the whole world
No Eid shopping is complete without running into at least 6 (hundred) people you know. Waisay I mean, hud hotee hai, I haven’t seen Sarah in 7 years and now all of a sudden she shows up out of nowhere? (Roza bohot lag raha hai.)
5. Fighting with aunties over kapray
There’s nothing like a classic showdown between customers who want the last discounted Eid outfit. Phadda, phadda, phadda.
6. Not fighting with aunties over kapray kyun keh roza lag raha hai
Let’s be real, who has the time or energy to fight. Roza hai. Tang na karo.
7. Annoying Salesmen
Jee, okay, yes, we get it. You have new chiffon keh duppattay and special Eid prices but if you say ‘baaaaaaji’ one more time, i’ll have to break my roza.
8. Finding Eid presents from for all of your family and friends
Don’t want to hand out typical Eidi this year? Try something new this year! Find little trinkets and accessories at Ideas by Gul Ahmed for all of the loved ones in your life.
9. Making sure they are returnable to avoid any potential nakhray
Okay everybody loves Eidi, make sure everything you buy can be returned, mashAllah nakhraybaaz are a dime a dozen in Pakistan.
10. Trying to find unique things to wear because who needs to look the same as everyone else
The first day of Eid on Instagram might as well be an ad for the same three outfits you see everywhere. Take a break from the typical and find something unique and just your style.
11. Running around five different stores to find your size
Running around to find your size in a sold out sale? No better rush in the world.
12. Making the salesperson hold on to everything while you go to the store next door.
Hellooooo, you can’t just go to one store, you have to stop by at least 3 or 12 to know you’ve done a good job. Make sure you stop by at Ideas by Gul Ahmed to find that perfect Eid getup.
13. Bargaining with your darzi/sales person because what fun is a sale if you can’t bargain
In true Pakistani fashion, there is no such thing as a fixed price. Ever. Bus.
14. Getting all your friends and loved ones together to enjoy what’s left of Ramazan
Spending time with your loved ones and celebrating the Ramazan madness is exactly what Eid shopping is really all about.
15. Running home for iftaari and to finally eat after a long hard day of shopping
Shopping for Eid is great and all, but let’s be real – it’s still Ramazan. Jao, ja keh roza kolo.
Can you relate to any of these? Are you hungry? Roza lag raha hai? It’s okay, me too, love you. Comment below to see if you have any shopping stories you want to share!
