What does this mean for the gaming industry in Pakistan?

E-sports is a budding industry worldwide with gamers raking millions of dollars in cash prizes. Players have dedicated their lives to build internationally recognized careers. Judging from Sumail’s success and how the top teams in DOTA and CS have consistently included Pakistani players, there is immense potential in our country. Since the games can be accessed from any part of the world, players in Pakistan have so far been restricted to playing in their own rooms for hours on end or from cafes. Previously, universities have ventured out to arrange for small-scale competitions but none of these have been fully dedicated to help gamers perfect their skills. With this platform partnering with ESL, gamers will now have access to better tournament halls, limelight and a more theatrical setup.  By officially initiating a mega-tournament for DOTA and CS enthusiasts in Pakistan, Mountain Dew Gamers Arena will change the format of gaming in the country.

The registrations for the competition are now open and further details will be shared via the official pages of Mountain Dew.
