Independence Day, also known as Youm-e-Azadi, is celebrated every year on the 14th of August and is one of Pakistanis many beloved national holidays. All of us are really patriotic about it and start preparing for it days before.
The whole town is painted green with patriotism overdrive and we are more than proud of our beloved country.
National songs play a vital role in awakening the jazba and love for our country. They help encourage us to express affection for our motherland in different ways. The music industry in Pakistan has created an interesting mix of music over the years to commemorate the country’s Independence Day.
While classics like “Dil Dil Pakistan”, “Ye Watan Tumhara Hai” and “Jazba Junoon” will remain evergreen, other, uh, interesting songs also deserve some recognition.
