Our champions are finally home and the nation is in uproar. The team arrived in pockets back home in the wee hours of the morning, greeted by incredibly overwhelming crowds that awaited the players in full force. Pakistan has been riding higher than cloud nine since our triumphant win against India, and with our players back the love and affection oozing out of every Pakistani is heart-achingly delightful. It was a marvelous welcome, and so wonderful to see the nation come together to welcome our national heroes.
Captain Sarfraz reached Karachi with the gorgeous trophy to thousands of Pakistanis mauka mauka-ing...
And he did not hesitate, for a second, in joining in with the rest of the crowd.

The huge crowds that greeted him at the airport
Led to his home too where the fans gathered tremendous momentum
With many choosing the soaring Karachi rooftops to catch a glimpse of their hero
Here’s a clip of the crowd as Sarfraz made his way through to his residence.
Just see how Pakistan is welcoming our Captain

Hassan Ali’s face pretty much says it all
It was an emotional win, and the Player of the Tournament had the most precious smile on his face
The crowds must have gotten a little too much for him, poor Hassan
The players were saluted graciously by our uniformed jawaans
It truly was a fitting gesture upon the arrival of our heroes

The players were showered with rose petals as they left the airport
Here’s one last photo of the man of the tournament, again
Wasn’t his such a splendid embrace? We’re all so proud of our players! Pakistan Zindabad.
