The entire nation was gripped fear today after horrific pictures of seven-year-old Zainab made rounds on social media today. The child was brutally raped and subsequently murdered in Kasur, a city which has become notorious for these types of incidents.
Zainab’s mutilated body was discovered from a pile of garbage

The incident took place when Zainab’s parents were out of the country for Umrah. Just a few years back various reports of a child pornography ring in Kasur broke out. It was alleged that the abusers were sheltered and operated under the patronage of influential people with links in the government.
Later on, CCTV footage of Zainab along with her murderer surfaced on social media
This is CCTV footage of the Butcher who apparently rapped and murdered innocent Zainab.

Find him!!! Do what it takes to find him and make an example out of him for Gods sake !! An example which scares anyone to even think about doing something like this again. @pid_gov @GovtOfPunjab #JusticeForZainab https://t.co/t0GTUo9AjT

At times like this, being speechless .. disgusted is an understatement. Everyone is so caught up in the " big wars" that the basics are forgotten.. or maybe just disregarded. Kiya Zaroori hai ke Humhe Hamesha ek Dhamake ki zaroorat ho.. to pay attention? #JusticeForZainab pic.twitter.com/Fhiv3Rp29E

ARY News anchor, Maria Memon pointed out that the attacker was most likely an individual Zainab knew and trusted
The CCTV footage clearly shows that the person who took Zainab away was someone she knew/trusted since she was comfortably walking away with him. For the love of God, Dont EVER trust anyone with your child!

Osman Khalid Butt in a series of tweet called out the ignorance of the government in this regard
How does one even begin to process this. The eleventh case of abduction, rape and murder of a child in Kasur. In just this last year. In the district responsible for the largest child abuse scandal in Pakistan's history. My God, Zainab. Our collective apathy failed you.
— Osman Khalid Butt (@aClockworkObi) January 10, 2018
Victims of the Kasur child pornography scandal are STILL awaiting justice, almost two-and-a-half years on. This public condemnation will ring hollow unless we see it through. To justice. Justice for Zainab. Justice for the children of this nation.
— Osman Khalid Butt (@aClockworkObi) January 10, 2018
Mr. Sanaullah, we'll keep our emotions in check when you and our government do their jobs. Your 'strict notices', thoughts, prayers & condemnations will not make Pakistan a safe place for our children.
