WILD.
And friends, though this may not seem like that big of a deal – it is.
In September 2008, following the hotel bombing at Mariott hotel, British Airways had suspended their flights to Pakistan ‘indefinitely,’ due to security reasons. Now, finally, the airline is coming back to Pakistan and opening it’s routes (and wings <3) to the people of Pakistan again.
The airline will operate three times a week with a round trip costing about 89,000 Rupees. So like, start saving up ya’ll.
Once the news broke, it wasn’t long before Pakistanis started freaking out about it.

Speaking at a press conference in Pakistan, Robert Williams, the British Airways head for the Middle East stated how excited he was for this move. Zulfi Bukhari, the Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, also commented happily on the reunion between the two country’s air routes.

However, the news did not break without a little bit of drama, of course.
Some Twitter users were confused that the airline had already launched these routes earlier in the year.

And okay, again, it’s just an airline so, yay, but you know what this REALLY means? Literally, none of us have to take PIA ever again.
One of the BEST things about PIA has been the direct flight from Pakistan to London. No connections, no time wasted. However, since we all love to hate the airline, it’s nice knowing that we have another option.
Of course, PIA has is our country’s pride and joy and of course we should all support it. However, that pride and joy has not been giving us much pride or joy lately and at this point, it’s about time that they are motivated.
Hopefully, the return of British Airways will mean PIA will get their shit together. Have you guys heard the news? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below! Love you.
