The Lux Style Awards announced their nominations for 2018 over the weekend, and while a few deserving fraternity members have made it to the final nomination list, there are many blunders that need to be addressed, in particular, Bilal Abbas Khan’s name not being included in the voting process for the ‘Best Actor’ category.
‘O Rungreza’ was nominated for ‘Best Soundtrack’ and ‘Best Drama,’ both highly deserving nominations

Female protagonist Sajal Aly bagged a nomination for ‘Best Actress’
Sajal has undoubtedly shone as the fierce Sassi on the show and deserves a nomination, however, her male counterpart Bilal too deserved equal recognition…

However, Bilal was not included as a nominee for ‘Best Actor,’ which is honestly unacceptable and frankly disheartening
Bilal won both critics and audiences over for his role as Qasim on ‘O Rungreza,’ bringing forth a new age of heroes on-screen unlike we had ever witnessed within the Pakistani drama realm.

We aren’t the only ones utterly upset…
Fans are outraged at the audacity to not nominate Bilal for his impeccable role as Qasim
Because let’s be honest, he really did deserve a nomination
Fans were also upset at ‘Yakeen Ka Safar’ not making the final cut
Fans of the actor expressed their undying support
And sent heartfelt messages of assurance
Fans are in shock
The nominations have confused many and don’t seem too validated
Petition to have the actor a part of the category?

It really is unfair…
We reached out to Bilal for a statement, however, he does not want to comment nor give a statement. We wish him all the best in his bustling career.
Oh, and thank you, Lux Style Awards. Bravo.
What do you think about Bilal’s snub?
