13 Of The Best Pakistani Dramas To Watch On Television, Right Now

Pakistani dramas are perhaps the best in the world. It’s little wonder that people from across the globe drool over them, what with their great storylines and of course, the actors and actresses. While we’re always in a constant struggle to figure out what we want to watch, as we sit in front of the television with the remote in our hands. We’re always here to make your lives easier, so we put together a list of the 13 best dramas that are currently on air on Pakistani television. So now, in absolutely no particular order, is our list of recommendations.

 

1. Baaghi – Urdu 1

Supposedly based on the life of the late social media star, Qandeel Baloch, Baaghi takes a look at her life before she became famous and lived away from the ‘big cities’.

 

2. O Rangreza – Hum Television

Based on the story of a girl called Sassi, whose father, Khayyam, is a poet. He has a simple wife whom he severely mistreats, as he pines for an actress Sonia, with whom he writes scripts for. Sassi is the daughter pining to be entirely like Sonia.

 

3. Alif, Allah Aur Insaan – Hum Television

Starring some industry bigwigs, ‘Alif Allah Aur Insaan’ is the story of trust and relationships, revolving around the lives of five different people from five different backgrounds and their faith and beliefs. The show highlights the concept of how God rewards those who believe in, and work towards, hard work and patience.

 

4. Muhabbat Tum Se Nafrat Hai – GEO

The show revolves around Kaneez Begum and her family. Kaneez Begum is a woman who has endured a lot of hardships in her life. In spite of those, she maintains an interest in the world, and has created a happy environment in her house. The show revolves around the house, it’s members and the relationships within that house.

 

5. Zindaan – ARY Digital

‘Zindaan’ is a show that gives themes of tormented love ad obsession, and it is sprinkled with lessons to be learned for life. There is a constant struggle between good and evil, and the story goes forward while the characters try coping with the negativity and keep the relationships within the family intact.

 

6. Woh Aik Pal – Hum Television

‘Woh Aik Pal’ is about a happily married couple, played by Ayeza Khan and Emmad Irfani, who have a child. As the story goes on, a trio of friends attempt to rob Emmad Irfani but accidentally end up shooting him instead. Feroze Khan, the friend who shot Emmad Irfani, feels guilty and in turn leaves his love and marries Ayeza. The story goes on into channels of love, hurt, and revenge.

 

7. Be-inteha – Urdu 1

Of the quest of love, romance, and happiness, ‘Be-inteha’ takes us on a journey of a woman trying to find her own, in life.

 

8. Rasm-e-Duniya – ARY Digital

Revolving around the lives of two brothers who end up falling for the same woman, ‘Rasm-e-Duniya’ takes us through the tales of how love is lost, gained, and conspired against.

 

9. Teri Raza – ARY Digital

Coming from a well-off but conservative family, Teri Raza revolves around the life of Suhana and how she falls in love with a young, immature, dil phaink guy.

 

10۔ Daldal – Hum Television

Daldal is the story of a man who belongs to the lower strata of society and wishes to settle abroad. The show looks at how his life turns around once he reaches the West.

 

11. Aadhi Gawahi – Hum Television

‘Aadhi Gawahi’ is a show that everyone needs to watch. Highlighting issues as sensitive as Nikkah and how the concepts of nikkah and divorce should never be taken lightly.

 

12. Gustakh Ishq –  Urdu 1
