Here's Why Every Pakistani Celebrity Is In London Right Now

By Iman Zia | 18 Sep, 2017

The homeland might be looking a little empty, and there’s good reason behind it.

The Pakistani industry flew to London for the weekend to attend The International Pakistan Prestige Awards (IPPA) 2017

It took place at London’s grand Hilton hotel over the weekend, and equivalent to Bollywood’s location awards show IIFA, the IPPA was a night of glitz and glamor for the Pakistani film and television fraternity. Forget ‘The Great Gatsby,’ last night Lollywood took London by storm in their sultry fine, fine attire. It was a night to celebrate the Pakistani film and television industry, with all our favorite actors and actresses present to pick up their highly deserved awards.

Ayesha Omar won the IPPA ‘Style Icon Of The Year’ at the awards and dolled up in a tasseled black gown to receive it

The actress is a very well known trailblazer and twirled around last night as a fitting ode to her status

Armeena Khan dazzled in black too, in an asymmetrical fitting gown that vivaciously cozied her curves

Aisha Khan added a few dazzling swivels to a black gown as she picked up the ‘Best Actress’ accolade

Thank you to all my amazing fans who voted!!! #ippawards #bestactress2016 #noorezindagi #aishakhan

Ayesha Sana added some color to the night with an adorned skirt and frill blue blouse

Humaima Malick opted for chaste white and shone in a flowy fairytale ballgown

She played the part of princess while her brother Feroze looked dapper in a black suit

Mawra too went for pure white and looked snowy in a trailing lace number

And snapped a few photos with fellow actor Feroze (quite the couple we say)

– and we meet again @mawrellous.

Mikaal Zulfiqar unraveled his ‘Great Gatsby’ style and daring gold blazer and bowtie, with the perfect date for the night

Mikaal wasn’t the only man celebrating with his family, the Sheikhs were present in full form too

Lovebirds Urwa Hocane and Farhan Saeed were too spotted at the awards, looking spectacular as per the norm

Bilal Ashraf kept it sleek and minimal

Humayun Saeed went eastern with a waistcoat and kameez

And amidst it all, we have Yasir Hussain and Adnan Siddiqui taking to the streets of London in playful tomfoolery

Didn’t everyone look absolutely splendid? Who looked the best according to you?
