Valentine’s Day had been declared haraam by our government, religious authorities and all the saviors of morality in the country. There was even a counter Haya Day celebrated in the country, with people all over the country pitching in.
Proud to be Muslim
Say no to Valentine Day

But Asma Jahangir was not having it
Asma Jahangir is a lawyer, Human Rights Activist, and the former President of the Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan (yep, all of that, ek aurat, haww). And one that openly advocates for what she believes in and doesn’t back down from her word. She is also the unofficial Queen of Sass in the country.

Ever so often, she tweets something or the other and it’s pure gold
Pakistan is a land of opportunity. Marry frugally and divorce cheap and easy. Do it at leisure when the spouse is away. surprise surprise

Which essentially goes to show that you don’t mess with the Asma
We will never have free elections unless Imran Khan sweeps every vote!!! Move on please

Nobody is safe
Have zero tolerance for all forms of religious militancy and bigotry They feed on each other

Nobody
The only arbitrator and guarantor for freedom, revolution and justice in the country is the army chief ! Pitiful and an expensive joke!
— Asma Jahangir (@Asma_Jahangir) August 28, 2014
So why would anyone in their right minds try messing with her?
Well, this guy from Dipalpur did
wish me one first
— Asma Jahangir (@Asma_Jahangir) February 14, 2017
And people loved it!

And this guy didn’t even try being discreet about his love
