Shahbaz Taseer, son of slain Governor of Punjab and prominent PPP politician Salman Taseer, was recovered last year after being kidnapped for four years.
It was an unimaginable ordeal that Shahbaz went through after being kidnapped
Only a few months after his father was slain, Shahbaz was kidnapped in Lahore while commuting to his office. He was later on discovered from Kuchlak, Balochistan in March 2016 after being held captive for four years. The incident was described as one of the most high profile kidnapping case in Pakistan by various international media outlets. The authorities have been investigating the incident with case being filed in the Anti-Terrorism court.
Being the victim also makes Shahbaz a key witness in the whole case and as such was asked to testify
However when he failed to appear in the hearing on Monday, the court decided to issue non-bailable arrest warrants.
Meanwhile Shahbaz was anything but pleased with the whole ordeal.
” I’m livid”, Shahbaz told MangoBaaz, “I am lost for words”, maintaining that he was travelling at the time and came back to this news. He went on to add that the situation was a bit hilarious as well.
He decided to poke a little fun at the situation on Twitter

He also took the opportunity to take a jab at the ruling political party

Naturally the general public had a lot to say as well, with some expressing confusion

There were those that were worried that Shahbaz himself wasn’t charged for his own kidnapping
I believe this is part of the 'how did you get yourself kidnapped' approach that's already so popular in rape prosecutions…

Just in case you didn’t know Shahbaz Taseer is an avid football fan with Manchester United being his favorite team and the friend’s comment was in that regard.
