Armeena Khan is one of those Pakistani celebrities who is known to speak her mind and raise her voice for what she believes in. Time and again, we’ve seen her speak up about the position of women in our society. She’s even shown her resentment about the ban on the Indian movie Padman in Pakistan that was based on menstruation.
Recently, we noticed that the ‘Janaan’ actor is collecting funds and donations from her fans to help out the Syrian Refugees in Jordan.
In her post on Instagram, she mentioned that following her appeal to donate for her cause, she was grateful for all the help and support she has received from her fans and now she has enough funds for the Syrian refugees who are in dire need of help. She said she’d be going to Jordan to put their money to work and her main focus will be widows and orphans. And that anyone who wishes to donate now can follow the details she’s provided her fans with.

Hi everyone. I put out an appeal earlier this year for the war torn families of #Syria. Well, the time to go is nearly here where i will be joining #HRF to aid some of the most vulnerable Syrian refugees in Jordan with your donations. I am so, so grateful for all your aid earlier in the year, please know that I am going out there to personally deliver it. I feel as humans we should all do as much as we can to help those in need. The more we raise, the more people I can help. There are many children who are orphans and are helpless. A lot of my main focus will be around widows and orphans and I hope I can help as many people as possible with your help. If you wish to donate and want to make sure that the money gets to where it is needed then please proceed to the ***Link in bio**** Thank you ever so much for your continued support. @sairahzafar @shareennawaz @hrfnorthwest **** Please keep an eye out for a meet and greet in #Manchester soon****
It’s very overwhelming to see our stars setting a strong precedent when it comes to helping out the ones in need. It helps us develop a better understanding to give back. We need more people like Armeena in our industry to inspire us to serve humanity.
The response this gesture received for her cause was quite overwhelming. Everyone appreciated her attempt.
Some prayed for her to have a safe journey.
Others said she was an inspiration for them.
And some wished her luck.
Then there were quite a few who were willing to donate.
Some were even willing to opt for the adoption of Syrian children.
The generosity shown by our very own Pakistanis is surely commendable. Moreover, Armeena’s attempt at garnering support for the cause cannot be overlooked as well. More power to you, Armeena. We wish you all the very best.
