Aangan has become the obsession of Pakistani drama audience ever since its first look was released. Pakistanis here, and abroad, usually look forward to watching these drama serials online because not everyone has the same schedules anymore so when the first episode of Aangan came out everyone expected for it to be uploaded shortly on YouTube afterwards, just like their other dramas, but when it wasn’t, people were a bit confused, and annoyed.
After intense backlash from people who couldn’t find the first episode online, Hum TV said that the show could only be seen on TV
Thank everyone for your overwhelming response on #Aangan. We would like to announce that you can watch your favourite drama serial only on your TV Screens.

Some even called them out for rumors of Hum TV wanting to save the show for Netflix so they can make more money
The entire year around, Hum TV creates sucky shows. When they actually end up creating something good then they decide not to upload it anywhere because it's that good. It's their only show that has a star studded cast. They just want to make more money by Netflix.#Aangan

People said that the viewership of the show also decreased
@Humtvnetwork As you might have noticed yourself that the viewership has tremendously decreased for the second episode, it will continue to decrease in the upcoming episodes. What harm do you see in putting Aangan on YouTube? Have you gone nuts? #Aangan

When I mean people aren’t happy, I mean they are absolutely furious
@humtvnetwork believes their shows are ah so special they can’t be released on below-their-standards streaming sites like Youtube. Gone are the days of Maat-Humsafar-ZGH where people would watch your your shows at home. #Aangan ain’t worth it.Get off your high horses.

I HATE THE NEW MARKETING STRATEGY!!!!! REALLY @Humtvnetwork !!!! YOU GUYS RUINED EVERYTHING!!!!! WE JUST WANT TO WATCH #AANGAN !!!!

Viewers are actually boycotting the show altogether since the first episode
Glad to see people getting mad @Humtvnetwork with #Aangan not being uploaded. THEY'VE BEEN KUTTE from before cause they have blocked youtube content for US Viewers for a while. They basically don't blooody care.

I hope HUM TV decides to change it’s decision about uploading the series on YouTube because the desi community isn’t very pretty when angry. I mean, hellz ya I would like to see Ahad Raza Mir in Aangan whenever I want on my own time, who wouldn’t?
What do you think about this? Did HUM TV make the right decision, or should they get their act together?
