Well, this is a bit bizarre. For some reason, law enforcement in the Ohio are cracking down on what they believe to be a new drug. The so-called drug is something we Pakistanis are very familiar with:
Tulsi
But that’s not what the Americans are calling it.
According to the news channel HLN, Tulsi is called ‘Beetle Nut’
Technically, it’s true since “Beetle Nut” is an ingredient in Tulsi paan masala but it’s still weird.
Somehow, kids are chewing on this to get high. Moreover, the news reported goes on to say that the ‘exotic food’ comes from Asia and is illegally imported. Moreover, the drug is leaving kids dazed and confused.
Anyone who’s lived in the US will know that Tulsi is readily available at any desi store and the only things leaving kids dazed and confused is this report. Jeez.

The authorities in Ohio are tracking this ‘illegal’ product to make sure it stays out of the reach of children.
