Man of the moment and new kid on the block, Ahad Raza Mir took 2017 by storm. While the actor starred in critically acclaimed drama ‘Sammi’ for a short stint, it was his role as Dr Asfandyar on drama ‘Yakeen Ka Safar’ that won him national praise, and toplined him as the most sought after actor in Pakistan. Ahad isn’t the first of his clan to dip his toes in the arts.
Ahad’s father is veteran actor Asif Raza Mir, who is best known for dramas ‘Tanhaiyaan’ and ‘Samundar’ among others
Asif’s father, Raza Mir was too a lauded veteran of the Pakistani industry, having directed a number of dramas and films like ‘Anhoni,’ ‘Parai Aag’ and ‘Aasra’
Ahad took to Instagram to share a post whereby his picture was placed in parallel to his grandfather’s. The resemblance between both is endearingly uncanny, and the actor coupled the post with ‘I always wonder what my grandfather must be thinking.’
We could have ourselves a reigning family in the industry, with Ahad being the frontrunner after his father and his father before him – very much like how the Kapoors came into being
Phrithviraj Kapoor was the first member of the Kapoors to pursue the arts, and initated the legacy of the Kapoor clan reigning Bollywood cinema.
All three of his sons, Raj, Shammi and Shashi were prominent actors in Bollywood, with Raj in particular being hailed as one of the greatest
Raj Kapoor’s sons, Randhir and Rishi followed suit, as did their children Karishma, Kareena and Ranbir respectively.
Ahad’s brother Adnan has risen in fame on social media, and while there hasn’t been any indication that he might venture into acting, you just never know!
Fans complimented how alike Ahad and his dada were
With many correctly pointing out how good looks run in the Raza Mir blood
…And where it all stemmed from
Fans lovingly answered what his grandfather must be thinking
A few took this time to express an emotive message for Ahad’s grandfather
We really hope we see Ahad exceed all expectations of him, and hope to see his brother in the industry too! Who knows? The Raza Mirs might just be Pakistan’s answer to the Kapoors!
