After Being Fired From His TV Show, Sidhu Is Now Banned From Movie Studios In India

Just when you thought things couldn’t escalate further after the devastating Pulwama attacks in India-administered Kashmir, what with Bollywood either cutting off Pakistani artists or threatening to obliterate us as a civilization, innocent Sidhu is being continually targeted and alienated by the Indian community.

After Sidhu said that India cannot blame an entire country (Pakistan) for the actions of a few, the former cricketer-turned-politician-turned-celebrity was fired from his Indian show.

He was fired from the famous ‘Kapil Sharma Show,’ and when Kapil defended Sidhu, a trend went viral on social media – the hashtag #boycottKapilSarma.

If things couldn’t get any worse, according to Indian publications, Sidhu has now been banned from film studios in Mumbai, India.

According to ‘Bollywood Hungama,‘ news is that the comedian has been exiled from shooting anything at India’s famous film studios, ‘Film City’ in Mumbai. The FWICE (Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees) took the decision to take action against Sidhu after his comments. They are the same board that pressurized a ban on Pakistani artists from working in Bollywood following the Kashmir attacks, to which a Pakistani militant group admitted to carrying out.

The FWICE has now sent a letter to the management of Film City studios to ban Pakistani artists, including Sidhu from shooting anything.

The studios are the same site where ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ is shot, and it’s one of India’s most famous and prominent shoot locations for films, ads, and shows. Hashtags against Sidhu are still surfacing social media, like #Sacksidhu. Indian celebrities like Anupam Kher and Manoj Joshi have condemned Sidhu for his statements – Kapil was the only one to stand up for him, saying his firing was not the right thing to do.
