Your favourite paki-Bollywood songs turned 10 this year. Feeling old yet?
Remember the simpler times? When the biggest issue you had was getting permission to go to your friend’s house on the weekend. Yep, those were the days.
Now that I recall those times, I also recall certain songs which were a staple in our lives back then. So you can imagine my shock when I realized all of this was TEN YEARS AGO. And the songs I know by heart for some reason are now old AF too. Time to update my playlist, I guess!
Enjoy these Pakistani and Bollywood songs from back in the days which have turned PRETTY OLD.
1. Khuda Jaane – Bachna Ae Haseeno
Remember this tune? Yep. You probably bopped to it back in the day as you imagined your own love story with the girl in your neighbourhood that you could never gather the guts to actually talk to.
2. Guzarish – Ghajini
This movie broke my pubescent heart. This song was the only light-hearted song in the entire film.
3. Desi Girl – Dostana
ARE YOU EVEN A DESI GIRL IF YOU DID NOT SHAKE YOUR BOOTY TO THIS BOP.
4. Jee Karda – Singh Is King

Not doing the bhangra on this song on a mehndi? Impossible!
5. Haule Haule – Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi
How many times did you listen to this song as you imagined your crush? TOO MANY DAMN TIMES.
6. Kabhi Kabhi Aditi – Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na
CUTEST LOVE STORY EVER. I LOVED THIS MOVIE AND THE ENTIRE SOUNDTRACK.
7. Zara Zara Touch Me – Race
This song was so ~sexy~ that you would never play it in front of your parents.
8. Laga Reh – Shehzad Roy
Admit it, you felt politically savvy AF when you heard and sang this song.
9. Pehli Nazar Mein – Atif Aslam
Atif Aslam in Bollywood was a big deal back then!!!!
10. Sajni – Jal

I used to sing this very dramatically considering I had not had my heart broken at that age.
11. Tu He Tou Meri Dost Hai – Yuvvraaj

Who else got sentimental listening to this with their BFFs, raise your hands!
12. Zara Sa – Jannat
This song had Emraan Hashmi in it, so you KNOW you weren’t supposed to be watching it yet you still did.
13. Oye Lucky Lucky Oye – Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!
This was just fun to sing since it only had one decipherable lyric that you screamed out on a loop!
