Wasim Akram Has Become The CEO Of Careem And People Are SO FRICKING Confused

By Iman Zia | 15 Apr, 2017

So…ain’t nothing like chill Saturday mornings where you turn on the telly, put your fave Samaa or Dunya News channel on and indulge in the daily bout of breaking headlines from around Pakistan with a cup of tea.

And then one particular WTF headline pops up that cricketer Wasim Akram saab is now officially CEO of a taxi service.

So this document’s been spreading like wildfire across social media where all that stands out is the Careem logo, Wasim Akram’s name and then ‘CEO.’

So apparently, he has become the “honorary” CEO of Careem, the ride hailing app.

Some haven’t obviously taken to the news too keenly.

And others are in disbelief at such a random speculation if proven true.

Some hope that this new revelation will mean better promo codes for matches.

Lol Hifza we feel you girl.

This could actually make Careem much better according to some…

Careem could now be hiring retired cricketers as Careem captains.

Can you imagine tho.

Most Pakistanis (like us) just don’t get the connection.

A cricketer as the CEO of a taxi service…seriously WTF?

Wasim Akram might be training Careem captains too…

Nonetheless people literally cannot get over it. They’re shocked

And slightly worried.

Because it is pretty random. Could it be fake news?

Then we have a few anomalies who just couldn’t be more thrilled!

What do you guys think? Could it be true? Or is it fake news? We’ll be updating as soon as this story gathers momentum.
