Shell Pakistan and Visa  just made a lucky winner very happy

A nice set of wheels does a lot for your confidence and comfort. We all love to look at fancy cars – like a Mercedes – but for most of us, it’s only the stuff of our dreams. But imagine if a Mercedes A-Class Sedan could be yours without even having to pay for it, wouldn’t that be amazing? Thanks to Shell, this can and actually did happen.

Ms. Romana Sohail won the grand prize of the Go Home with Luxury contest by Shell Pakistan Limited and Visa.

A special celebration was held at the SPL Defence Service Station. The proud winner of the contest had the following to say about this huge win:

“When I first received the call, I could not believe that I had won the contest and would be [the] owner of such a grand prize.  I have been fueling at Shell for as long as I can remember and always encourage my friends and family to do the same. I am thankful to both Shell and Visa for rewarding me and my family.”

So, how did this win happen? Shell Pakistan was giving everyone who stopped by and used their Visa card for payment the chance to win a Mercedes A-Class Sedan

It was a simple three step process:

1. Swipe your Visa card at your nearest Shell Forecourt

2. Spend Rs. 3,000/- only

All you had to do at the Shell Forecourt was to make a purchase worth Rs. 3,000/- only. It could be on fuel, especially the Shell V-Power which is the same fuel used by high-speed race cars and is helpful in keeping your vehicle clean. Other products included Car Wash, Oil Change, Select Stores, and some of the best selection of desserts and beverages which could’ve been part of your purchase. 

3. Win your dream car: the brand new Mercedes A-Class Sedan

Yep, it was that easy! This contest ran for 3 months, from November 1st, 2019 to January 31, 2020. And eventually, a winner was announced on 9th March 2020. 

Taha Magrabi, the General Manager Retail of Shell Pakistan spoke about this grand prize:

“Winning a luxury car is a dream that we want our customers to experience. During this campaign, we received an overwhelming response. We continuously look for opportunities to extend rewards and benefits that are meaningful to our customers and are proud to organize this campaign with Visa. My heartiest congratulations to Ms. Romana Sohail and her family.“

Kamil Khan, Visa’s Country Manager for Pakistan also shared his thoughts:

“By incentivizing consumers to use their cards, we are exposing them to the benefits of digital payments and helping increase their preference for digital payments over cash – that is why such promotions are important. Honestly, this sounds really promising. Imagine winning a Mercedes A-Class Sedan, that too, in such a grand way!
