Pakistanis Are Sharing Stories Of Ordinary Women Who Inspire Them Everyday And YAAAS Queens

By MangoBaaz Studio | 22 Jan, 2019

2018 was undoubtedly the year of women. Many important conversations revolving around women empowerment and women rights came to the forefront making it a phenomenal year in history. 2019 should be no different.

While some women in the public eye and media are often lauded for their great accomplishments, some equally ambitious, inspiring and strong women still strive to prove their true mettle. And that is worth celebrating. This is why we collaborated with BTW, a brand that has identified itself with encouraging women to #BeThatWomanΒ and be the agents of change in whatever capacity possible while also inspiring others as much as they can.

As part of their campaign, they asked women to shareΒ a moment where they felt like they had finally turned their dreams into reality and achieved something.

Here’s one heart-wrenching answer:

I have no words….

Actual tears…

In the same spirit, we asked PakistanisΒ to share stories of inspirational women and the answers were super emotional.

Some people shared the stories of their sisters who managed to turn their life around when faced with hardships while others appreciated their ‘super moms’.

1. My sister. She dreamt to be a surgeon but you know peechay khandaan walay made an issue. Now, 9 years later, she is one.

2. A family friend of mine lost her husband to an act of terrorism and now she’s battling cancer but still keeps her head high.

3. This one deserves mad respectΒ πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½

The past year set the tone we want to work with towards a better Pakistan, that is to host women from every walk of life just living up to their best.

Making it a place where they are given endless opportunities to unlock their true potential .

With the new year just picking up pace, here’s to hoping we witness many more inspiring stories of empowered women.

What did you think about the stories shared by these people? Are there any women in your lives that inspire you every day?
