Now, This is How Pakistan's National Anthem Should Be Sung

By Sarmad Amer | 23 Mar, 2016

Shafqat Amanat Ali came under severe criticism for his less than stellar performance of Pakistan’s National Anthem on March 19, 2016 in the ICC World Twenty20 match between Pakistan and India.

Shafqat Amanat Ali forgot the lyrics to Pakistan’s National Anthem

And resorted to mumbling.

Not that his Indian counterpart, for the anthem, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan did any well

Apparently he has also been sued for fudging up the Indian Anthem too.

Are these guys suffering from stage fright?

Not likely, since they are performers. And stellar ones at that… well usually.

Or maybe it’s just us desi people being a little too sensitive about our Anthems.

However, with the girls performing like the champions that they are, Pakistanis are learning to accept women over men, even if it’s just in the cricket field.

This rendition of the National Anthem, performed by the Pakistani-American singer Iman Nadeem who is a student of music at Belmont University, will take your breath away, literally.

Never before has the Anthem been sung in such a powerful, passionate and might we add, sexy, way before, That too without any fudging up or mumbling.

Kudos!

Shafqat sir, even the best of us fall, what matters is rising above all the hate and negativity that has followed.

And Pakistanis, learn to let go a little, even you guys have your bad days.
