18 Things Absolutely No Pakistani Parent Will Ever Say

By Sarmad Amer | 27 Nov, 2015

Your parents say so much about every single aspect of your life. Of course, because they have raised you. But here are some things you will actually never hear any Pakistani parents say:

1. When you ask for a little more money

1

2. When you study hard, for a change

2

3. When your mother’s friend sees you with a male friend

3

4. When they find out you have a girlfriend

4

5. Umm… when they need to give you “the talk”

5

6. When you as a girl want to attempt the same thing your brothers can

6

7. When you want to stay out late

7

8. When you are not the typical acha bacha they hoped for

8

9. When you reach what they call a “marriageable” age

9

10. When your final exam results come out

10

11. When you’re with your dad and see THAT girl in the market

11

12. When you don’t come up to their rather high expectations

12

13. When you don’t know where to take your girlfriend out on a date

13

14. When you’re a guy with hair that are longer than your mother’s

14

15. When you don’t want to become a boring old doctor or engineer

15

16. When you’re a lazy daughter

16

17. When they pass comments on your dressing sense

17

18. When they smell cigarette smoke on your clothes

18

What else do you think Pakistani parents will never say?
