25 Songs You Will Hear At Every Single Mehndi This Shaadi Season

By Arslan Athar | 23 Oct, 2016

In case you didn’t realize, shaadi season is upon us! That means a few things, naye naye joray, parlor visits, photo shoots and, of course, mehndis. Although no two mehndis are alike, their playlists, on the other hand, are. It’s actually shocking how some songs will play at EVERY. SINGLE. MEHNDI and here is a list of them:

Kaala Chashma (Baar Baar Dekho)

In the hopes of recreating the magic that Katrina and Sidharth did, Pakistanis of every shape and size will shake their booties to the beat of this insane song.

Shakar Wandaan Re (Ho Mann Jahaan)

With this song, even the steps are exactly the same.

Ishq Tera Tadpave (Sukhbir)

This number is total classic, get’s the whole party on its feet.

Tunak Tunak Tun (Daler Mehndi)

Whether you’re Punjabi or not, this song gets EVERYONE up and throwing their hands up in the air (like they don’t care).

Billo Ni Tera Laal Ghaghra (RDB)

You need to put this one on for all the laal ghagra bajis.

London Thumakda (Queen)

This song is such an adorable number. It’s been on Mehndi Playlists for the few past 2 years and still going strong *siyappa*

Tu Meri (Bang Bang)

Crazy crazy steps that every mehndi needs to feel like a proper party.

Desi Thumka (Nouman Khalid)

There needs to be a song that gets all the desi thumkas started. Warna Mehndi Ka Kya Mazza.

Sadi Gali (Tannu Weds Mannu)

This one goes without question. Most mehndi guests might even have steps down for this song. Sadi Gali has made its place as a quintessential Punjabi shaadi song.

Dilli Wali Girlfriend (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani)

Since everything is jaiz and okay at mehndis, therefore so is dancing to this number that clearly talks about eloping with your girlfriend that no one approves of (now, don’t get any ideas).

Ainvayi Ainvayi (Band Baaaja Baraat)

This songs has been prepared for quite a while, and everyone knows that hand jiggling move by now. So it’s a no-brainer.

Nagada Sang Dhol (Raam Leela)

Everyone wishes they could dance as well as Deepika Padukone did in this song. However they still try and this is why this song is still on mehndi playlists, everywhere.

Mehndi Ki Raat Aayi (Models- uhh…what?!)

This is very very old school, but how can you not blast this at your mehndi?

Gur Naal Ishq Mitha (Bally Sagoo)

OMG THIS SONG! That hand wala step is almost iconic now.

Lathe Di Chader (Musarrat Nazir)

Another classic! Some aunties still prefer this for their luddi. You’ve got to remember this is how mehndis used to be, this song was hot on mehndi playlists when your parents probably got married.

Kar Gayi Chull (Kapoor and Sons)

All the larkis who think they are beautiful and make guys go chull will put this on the playlist.

Gallan Goodiyan (Dil Dhadakne Do)

Gallan Goodiyan is arguably one of last year’s most fun and plain adorable songs.

Banno Tera Swagger (Tannu Weds Mannu Returns)

If your Bannu got swagger, and is sexy then this one is ON for this year’s shaadi season *cringes while writing all that cheesiness*

Lungi Dance (Chennai Express)

All the Rajni fans?!

Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna (Dilwale Dulaniya Le Ke Jaye Ge)

Now, this one can play at the “actual” mehndi ceremony, if your family still has one.

Aayi Mehndi Ki Ye Raat (Jawad Ahmed)

Another Pakistani Mehndi Classic to add to your playlist if you haven’t already.

Zara Dholki Bajao Gorio (Adnan Sami)

A great way to get the guys pitched against the girls! Aise hoga naach gaana.

Dholi Taaro Dhol Baaje (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam)

Literally EVERYONE grew up hearing this song at mehndis. Only fitting to see this continue being used.

Bandooq (SomeWhatSuper)

If this isn’t already on your playlist, then put it there, you’re missing out.

Let’s Nacho (Kapoor and Sons)

Just for you, Fawad <3

With this list, your mehndi will be dhamakaydaar, enjoy the shaadi season, all the dances, the food and the company because you’re going to have to wait another year to repeat this.
