Pakistani products swarming the market almost always get away with illegal branding where they legit just photoshop some random famous person’s face onto their product or poster (addressing – it’s, unfortunately, become the norm; seeing Mahira Khan’s face plastered on questionable products at the local shop, or even Fawad Khan’s…that’s just Pakistan for you. While many celebrities have accepted it, it’s still intolerable for some and rightly so! Actress Mansha Pasha took to social media to address a product she found with her face used as the selling tool.
Mansha posted a picture of the product using her face, ‘Faiza beauty cream’ on her Instagram account – tagline: ‘whitening skin ever’ (lol)
The actress was livid as she addressed the absurd use of her face without her permission, that too for a fairness cream campaign that she strongly condemns and doesn’t believe in
‘Why do people keep obsessing over color? Yes, I used to be darker, I’m still tan but light, camera, angles make a huggge difference!’ The actress expressed adamantly. The actress shut down the brand for promoting a whiter skin tone and brilliantly said that ‘dark, tan, fair it’s all beautiful in its own way! It’s your thinking that’s all!’
Well done Mansha!
Followers denounced the brand for using the actress’s face and urged Mansha to take legal action
Others condemned the unrealistic beauty notions brimming Pakistan and saluted the actress for raising awareness on the topic
This isn’t the first time a celebrity has called out a Pakistani brand for false advertisement. Hollywood actress Alicia Silverstone addressed this mehndi company for hilariously using her face as the selling face!
Bravo to Mansha for speaking out!
