Mahesh Bhatt Has A Message For Pakistan And India And It Couldn't Have Come At A Better Time

By Sarmad Amer | 1 Oct, 2016

By now, everyone is aware of how Pakistan and India are just another ‘surgical strike’ away from full blown war. Amidst these rising tensions, an open letter to Fawad Khan to return to Pakistan thrust the entertainment industry in the middle of this conflict. Ever since, celebrities on both sides of the border have come forward with their statements.

After the Uri Attack where several Indian personnel were killed, Indian celebrities have been on an offensive, throwing corrosive statements and alienating their Pakistani fan bases.

Even the likes of Shahrukh Khan ended up angering Pakistanis

Salman recently found himself at the end of criticism from Indians for standing in support of Pakistani actors working in India despite the rising tensions.

While most Pakistani celebrities have, rather disappointingly, kept their mum about the whole situation some, like Hamza Ali Abbasi, have continued to add to their abundance of statements on the matter.

And now, Mr. Mahesh Bhatt, of the Jism and Emran Hashmi fame, has come forward with his comments:

The filmmaker has shared a ‘Profile for Peace‘, which is an initiative that was launched in 2015 by Mumbai resident Ram Subramanian and it was embraced by people on both sides of the border.

This is how Indians have been responding to Mr. Bhatt

Sadly, there isn’t much difference in the level of sanity, on both sides. Thanks to people like Mr. Bhatt, Salman Khan and Salman Ahmad who have stepped up in times like these and showed everyone that there still is hope in humanity.
