Mehndi, commonly known worldwide as henna, is a vital part of every Pakistani Wedding. No shaadi is complete without the dulhan being decked in henna on her hands and feet. Which is why this new mehndi trend is all kinds of exciting:

It includes the incorporation of elements of your love story into your mehndi ka design.

This can include elements from your wedding card, images of the bride and the groom, a place they met or places they’re from. In some cases, people even enjoy adding their favorite cartoon characters or their obsessions to their henna. This makes the whole process far more meaningful than it already was. The bride now takes a personal interest in the design.

The chosen elements of each design are carefully incorporated into the overall pattern among other traditional tikyas and bails.

The procedure in itself is time-consuming. It can end up taking anywhere between 6-8 hours. However, for a once in a lifetime event, it’s totally worth it!

The pioneer of Love Story Henna is a Pakistani girl. She is popular on Instagram where she goes by the name @sarashenna.

Sara has a stunning following of about 55.5k. She is also the pioneer of white henna. The mehndi artist is determined to make every bride’s experience a memorable one. She spends days perfecting her designs for the bride. The design is then also framed and given to the bride as a memento.

The wildly popular henna trend is now being replicated by many local mehndi artists.

The designs are customized depending on the bride’s preference. That has become one of the reasons why the trend has gained much popularity. And it totally makes sense, don’t you think? The entire concept is beautiful.
