Pakistan Super League 2017 is back with a bang and boy did we miss the cricket craze. Pakistan is a nation where the love for cricket is synonymous with patriotism. So it goes without saying that the excitement is through the roof. The wait was finally over yesterday with the opening ceremony finally kicking things off.

And the ceremony was ? LIT AF ?

There were fireworks, dholwalas suspended in mid-air, a crazy ass light show, shaggy and the wimmenz and a very entertaining performance. People noted that it seemed like a final already as Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United went neck to neck with the latter taking the first sweet victory of the season.

Amongst the highlights of the opening ceremony, however, was the endearing moment when Islamabad United (fondly called ISLU) walked in wearing dark green shalwar kamizes.

There were multiples awwws and ahhs as the team was lead by Fawad Khan and Waseem Akram. With Dil Dil Pakistan searing through the Dubai skies, the ceremony was quite a tearjerker.

One of the Islamabad United players was caught busting into an impromptu bhangra step behind the scenes.
