When you get so profoundly and deeply invested in a show, you can’t help linger into the actors’ personal lives and see what they’re up to. For me, ‘Ranjha Ranjha Kardi’ is 2019’s best drama so far – mostly because of the gift we’ve been given of Imran Ashraf and Asma Abbas’s extraordinary relationship on-screen as the worried mother simply wanting the utmost best for her son.
The drama does a brilliant job of highlighting Bhola’s (Imran Ashraf) condition and how it’s always his doting mother who is in a constant state of distress.
Bhola is an incredibly complex character, “layered so deeply” according to Imran Ashraf that very few can truly understand him; his mother, his sister Komal and hopefully his wife Noori (played by Iqra Aziz).
It’s not easy, especially when Bhola has his unpredictable downfalls that are incredibly overwhelming – but what strikes us the most is the undeniable chemistry between Asma and Imran.
They make the most endearing on-screen mother-son duo and exude a warmth like any other whenever they share screen space in the drama.
So, when you see the relationship between the two characters transcend beyond telly and into real life, you can’t help exhale out the most delightful and relieving sigh.
Asma Abbas posted a photo of her wearing the same jacket as her on-screen son Bhola, with a caption reading “Bholay ny ama ko jacket wapas kardi thankyou for the beautiful gift mera beta.”
Imran reshared the post, and fans just instantly fell in love with the heart-warming interaction.
Actor Zahid Ahmed left an adoring comment underneath Imran’s repost as well.
Fans couldn’t help fall in love with the cute interaction and praised both actors for not just their superb acting skills, but also their loving personalities off-screen.
