The beauty icon Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has recently started doing films again. And we’re very certainly happy about it.

Not thora sa happy, but very happy.

While filming her latest movie, Sarbjit, she made a trip to Wagah border

While discussing her trip in February 2016 with a reporter she said that she is aware of her Pakistani fans because, “I have experienced it in person when we were shooting at Wagah. It was a surreal experience”.

She said, “we are standing there and the shoot is going on, gates are open, you can see Pakistan and you notice that the people are the same and the love for each other is the same”.

On her trip she met the Indian Border Security Forces

And she was all too glad to take pictures with them.

And there were many, MANY selfies that she very graciously posed for.

She was also seen shooting scenes from her movie

Alongside costar Riccha Chadda, Aishwarya was seen filming scenes in the border area before wrapping up and having an impromptu meet and greet as the audience for the flag lowering ceremony started filing in.

She even greeted her Pakistani fans on the other side of the border

“I had finished meeting all the families of the Border Security Force here [in India] an hour before the program was to begin. That day we have to wrap and come back to another shoot so I couldn’t stay on to watch it, which I wanted to at some point,” said Aishwarya about wanting to see the ceremony herself.

And she hopes to return some day to see the ceremony with her own eyes
