While everyone was busy dissing Mehwish Hayat‘s rather decent Coke Studio debut the real powerhouse, Abida Parveen was singing. And sing she did. Abida Parveen’s performance of Maula-e-Kull was one of, if not the, most powerful songs ever on Coke Studio.
Yes, I will dare say, even though I have no technical knowledge of music whatsoever and my “analysis” comes only as a casual listener who worships Abida Parveeen that this was possibly one of the best Coke Studio songs of all the nine seasons. After all, Abida Parveen is the real queen.
