Abdul Sattar Edhi is a national treasure. There is no doubt about it, Edhi sahab is possibly the most underrated legend Pakistan, or the world, for that matter, has ever seen.
His love for his country is so strong that despite his severely ill health he refused to be treated anywhere but in his home country
He was also in the spotlight for having refused donation from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to support Gita, a girl stranded in Pakistan who was brought to the limelight by a Bollywood movie based around her story.
For the past couple of days, rumors have been rampant on Pakistani social media that Mr. Edhi has passed away
After a protracted illness and severely bad health that he has been suffering for the past few months, it was circulated that Abdul Sattar Edhi died.
And obviously, the news caught fire
Soon everyone was pouring their thoughts for Edhi sahab
We love #Edhi

Edhi sahab’s son has issued a statement refuting false claims of the legendary philanthropist’s death
Faisal Edhi has issued a statement making everyone aware that his father, although ailing, has improved in health a little. So all is well, people. Everyone can calm down and focus on praying for the man’s health. Since he has refused monetary donation, praying is all you can do.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is reported to have withdrawn their ‘condolence message’.
Be careful, folks. Pray for the man. Don’t kill him before he is dead.
This guy sums it up aptly
Pray for the health of #Edhi and please also pray for an end of the breaking news culture in #Pakistan
