Friendship has to be one of the life’s greatest gifts. It should be cherished in the most beautiful way possible. Here are the 11 rules of friendship that you have to learn for the sake of your bestie!
1. Never tell the whole truth to each others’ parents.
This might come off as a bad idea but remember, your friend WAS always with you when their parents called to confirm. Of course, make sure, you know your friend is safe. All’s cool then.

I guess everyone follows this one blindly. You should always stick by your friend, especially while bunking classes. Bunking one class won’t stop you from getting through the semester. And they say:”Friends who bunk classes together, stay together.”

3. Share food! Especially if it’s theirs.
If you do not share the last slice of pizza or that last bite of chocolate with your friend then you are a horrible friend! Eating together is the most important thing about friendship. Remember when your friend let go of the crispy part of samosa for you? Yeah, so let him have that last slice.

4. Stay loyal to your friend’s feelings.
Never hang around too much with someone your friend cannot stand being around. The true test of friendship is if you can feel the same feelings for a stranger that your friend feels for them. This is how it works. No buts or ifs.

5. Never judge your friend
This is the key to a long lasting friendship. When your friend tells you how he fell for someone because they passed a smile at him. You are not supposed to tell your friend to come back to senses, instead listen to what they have to say, tell them your unfiltered opinion and then be open and supportive of their choices.

6.Just be there when your friend needs you
There comes a time when a person just needs someone to hear them out, not say a word but just be there. Let your friend say whatever comes to their mind, after all you use them to vent out your frustrations too! And for once in your life, shut up!

Okay, so this one is a life saver. You definitely do not want your friend to act like a total freak when their crush is passing by or even worse, approaching them. Make them shut up if they are talking about how odd they smell today or discuss the clothes that crush of theirs is wearing.

10. Stay in touch… always!
We often lose a track on what is going on in our friend’s life because life gets busier and the phone calls and the unplanned meet-ups fade away with time. Even if one of you moves to a different place, always stay in touch because they are the one who truly understand you. Go on, send them an inbox right away, or pick up your phone and call them, we know it’s been a while since you heard their voice.

11. Forgive, forget and NEVER give up on them.
There will come a time when your friend will annoy the hell out of you or will do something that you might find very hard to forgive. Life is too short not top forgive, especially your friend. Who will greet you with those insults and who is going to listen to your pointless drama over and over again, if you break up a friendship over something that you could have moved on from?
